Some sort of redirect?

I see a lot of "please edit" replies to daycare-add-requests, despite the whole "how to post" thing being in all caps. Is there a way, with the forum software, to create a sort of redirect that forces posters to read the instructions before posting?

That would be nice.

right people keep posting incorrectly, they never read the rules; only some do. also, we need something to tell each other if we're online or not without going to the index and checking the active users

If you asked if there was some way to force people to look at the rules page, then I would answer as soon as they post their eggs incorrectly, tell them to read the rules, then try again or something like that. Any other ideas?

That might get sort of frustrating, however. A lot of new users could get turned off by that.

_Z_ posts a link to the rules whenever he/she *fluster fluster* welcomes new users. That's the best I can think of right now, and I don't have the techie know-how to think of another option.
